With the distillery and offsale liquor store, Sperling Silver is making history in Regina, Saskatchewan, before your eyes. The tale begins in the twenties with Peter Paul Sperling, who ran the Sedley hotel just east of Regina. To the southwest of the hotel, behind it, was a slaughterhouse. The railcars stored with whiskey beneath the slaughterhouse were then sent to Chicago. Saskatchewan Sperlings have been making high-quality spirits for more than 85 years. Adam Sperling is a proud member of the family that has been producing high-quality spirits for more than a century. For additional information, click here.

The narrative of this distillery is one of environmental awareness and innovation. The Slow Food Brew pub was the origin of Sperling Silver Distillery. The idea behind the concept is to promote a healthy lifestyle by incorporating clean eating, fitness, and environmental sustainability into its operations. Slow Food strives to be environmentally friendly by consuming food produced locally and organically whenever feasible. The Slow Food Pub offered six distinct beer, cider, and wine selections.
After each fermentation, there were approximately 18 to 100 liters of unpolished apple yeast. It was decided that the yeast should not be wasted, so a search for an alternative application began. An application to establish a little micro Distillery based on the slow food idea was promptly filed with the provincial administration; When we were first starting out, our salespeople were encouraging us to recycle and produce another by-product. This by-product became the initial signature spirit and is now one of our most popular items— Ole
Jed’s moonshine— a Saskatchewan tradition with the greenest product we create.
Ole Jed’s is a clear, alcoholic liqueur produced from the yeast left over after brewing beer. It’s also known as a new make in other countries. Unoaked whisky is simply defined as “new make.”
The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, which is the liquor and gaming authority in the province, sells 17 of our items. Please contact us to learn more about caring for our items if you are interested. For hundreds of years, silver has been utilized in medical and spiritual settings. The fact that our distillery’s carbon is silver-infused affects the flavor profile of our beverages. We then combine them with distilled well water to produce a highly consistent end product available at our liquor store.
We purchased an old restaurant site in Regina and converted it into a distillery and liquor store with big walk-in freezers. Prior to final filtration, we freeze all of our goods to temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius for 48 hours. We’re now filtering syrup with this technique. The last filtration produces the cleanest, purest product available on the market today, which begins in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Sperling Silver Distillery produces all types of purest and organic items, such as our SkRUM, which is composed of 100% organic cane sugar. The famous Ole Jeds Moonshine is made from 100% reclaimed unfiltered Saskatchewan beer and the legendary Killya Saskatchewan Cactus Juice is prepared from 100%
organic Blue Agave. Stop in at our local Regina liquor store, or, even better, buy online today. You’ve been looking forward to a fantastic experience with the finest cocktails for a long time now; visit our liquor store immediately.
